About Airva
Airva is a UK air-conditioning guide and introduction service: it publishes independent guidance for homes and businesses, and introduces people who want a system installed to one checked installer who can survey the property and quote for it. We are not an installer, and we do not fit air conditioning ourselves.

We publish guides on air-conditioning costs, regulation, planning and grants for UK homes and businesses. Regulatory, planning and pricing claims cite the body that sets the rule, so you can check the detail before you spend money.
Tools to narrow down your options
The cooling planner says how to heat, cool and run hot water for your home, or how to cool or warm a single room, and the cost estimator gives an indicative installed cost. Both are guides, not quotations: the firm price comes from an installer's survey.
Introductions to an installer
When you tell us about your property, we review the enquiry and match you with one installer who can survey it and give you a firm quotation. You get one conversation with one checked firm instead of a run of calls.

Four published checks on every installer
Identity, F-gas company certification, insurance and service area are checked before an enquiry reaches anyone, and an installer whose evidence lapses stops receiving enquiries. What each check establishes, and what none of them can tell you, is set out in how installers are checked.
Free to you, with no obligation
You pay us nothing and you are under no obligation to proceed. Installers pay us only when a job we introduced goes ahead, and any contract for the work is between you and the installer.
No affiliate links or equipment commission
We earn nothing from the equipment a guide mentions, and no manufacturer or installer has a say over what our guidance says.

Who runs this site
Airva was founded by Keeley Townsend, who is the company's director. It is operated by Gotham Townsend Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales and incorporated on 4 August 2026. Both can be checked on the Companies House register.
The guides are written by the Airva editorial team, and every regulatory, planning and pricing claim is checked against the official source cited at the foot of the page.
How Airva works
- You tell us about your property and what you want to cool or heat.
- We review each enquiry individually.
- Where we can, we offer it to one suitable installer who has passed all four checks. Your contact details stay private until that installer accepts.
- The installer arranges a survey with you and gives you a firm quotation. You decide whether to go ahead.
- Where we cannot find an installer for your area yet, we tell you plainly.

Where we have got to
We would rather you heard this from us than worked it out. Airva is early: the company was incorporated in August 2026, and we are still building the installer network. We do not claim confirmed coverage in any particular town, and we do not grade one area above another, because we are not yet in a position where that would be true.
What that means in practice is the same everywhere: we review each enquiry individually and work to match you with a suitable installer operating in your area. Your contact details stay private until an installer accepts the job. If you would rather wait until we can promise more, that is a reasonable thing to do.
How we make money
Installers pay us a fee only when a job we introduced goes ahead; they pay nothing for an enquiry or for accepting one. You pay us nothing, and there is no obligation to proceed with anyone we introduce.
We publish no affiliate links and earn no commission on equipment, which is set out on our affiliate disclosure. Our guidance is written independently of who pays us, and no manufacturer or installer has any say over what it says.
How the guidance is written
Regulatory, planning and pricing claims are checked against the official source cited at the foot of each page — GOV.UK, Ofgem, the Planning Portal, MCS, HSE and CIBSE among them. Where a figure is a market observation rather than a published fact, we say so rather than borrowing authority from somebody else's website. Where we cannot verify something, we leave it out.

Every installer passes four checks before an enquiry reaches them: identity on the Companies House register, a current F-gas company certificate, insurance in date, and the postcodes they genuinely work in. These are documents checks; they do not inspect the quality of past work.

We are still building the installer network, so we do not claim confirmed coverage in any particular town. We review every enquiry and work to match you with a suitable installer operating in your area.
